Final Compilation & Reflection
INSTRUCTIONS
• Week 1 •
In the first week, after forming our group of seven, Siew Yong, Amber, Yee Qin, Jordon, Abigail, Zhi Ni and me, we kicked things off by diving into some contextual research. Our topic at the time was about plants and self watering pot, so each of us picked some topics to work on. Alongside that, we also searched for articles, current news, and any interesting issues or innovative takes related to street art to build a better understanding of the topic.

• Week 2 •
In week two, we realised there wasn’t much recent or in-depth information available on our topic. After presenting our contextual research to Mr. Mike, we brought this up with him. He suggested that we dig deeper by reaching out to the community such as sending out research questions or talk to people directly and get to know our potential personas better. So, we started drafting a list of questions and prepared to send them out to the people we wanted to speak with. Below is a breakdown of who we targeted, along with our interview questions and structure:

• Week 3 •
For week 3, we are required to come out with 3 different personas based on assumption. The personas we mainly focus on teachers, gen z and students. We quickly finished up the personas then moving forward to the next task.

• Week 4 •
After finishing up the survey and interview, we are also required to do the data analysis based on the responses gathered.

Then we also gathered the interview transcripts from 3 different teachers / educators.

• Week 5 •
After finishing all the above task, we are now focusing to create our problem statement and 'How might we...'. We started by finding out the common statement based on the interview and survey response, then group them into different categories and lastly create 3-5 insight statements. We quickly work together to finish up this task.

After this we moved on to create a problem statement and 3 different 'How might we...' statements.

• Week 6 - 7 •
Once we wrapped up our research and insight analysis, it was time to present our findings and proposal for the execution stage of the project. We compiled everything into a slide deck and presented it to our industry collaborator, Mr. Toru. His feedback was generally positive he mentioned he was looking forward to seeing how our ideas would take shape moving forward. The only suggestion he had was to think of a way to integrate Yubari into their existing program, which was 'XP Edu'.

• Week 8 •
In this week, we were tasked to complete the user journey map. The user journey map consists of 4 stages and 4 parts. We divided our workload evenly to finish this task as soon as possible. After we finished the user journey map, Mr. Mike suggested that it was nice and good to go. Here's our final user journey map.
After finished up the user journey map, we are now required to create mockups based on the user journey map we had proposed. Before we had started our mockups, we firstly create a final art direction for Yubari.

After that, we started to create mockups, like social media feeds and website prototype. For the first stage, awareness of discovery, we proposed 3 main product introduction posts and a few miscellaneous contents.

Other than that, we also made teaser video, microsite prototype and others relevant stuff as well.

In stage 2, comparing, we had proposed mainly 4 social media posts and 2 IG story for engagement. So we quickly finished up together.

Then, for stage 3 onboarding and first use, we also created a few posts and IG story to promote and build a community. We tried our best to create the mockups based on the user journey map.

Lastly, for the last stage which was sharing and advocacy, we also managed to finished all the mockups by week 14. After the first draft, we also did some finalization on all the posts to remain consistent.

We also finished up the microsite that consists of all the features mentioned in the user journey map. After we finished up all the mockups and social media contents, we compiled all of them together into the presentation slides and get ready to present to our collaborators.

FINAL REFLECTIONS
I found this small project fascinating. From field interviews to final prototype construction, our group practiced design thinking while remaining focused on the real needs of teachers.
We gradually realized the power of engaging users and allowing them to express their ideas. It was through teacher participation that we were able to integrate important materials, transforming our campaign into something more than just a promotional campaign. This group activity taught us the importance of collaboration, good communication, and consistent design.
Most importantly, we learned that design doesn't have to be visual, but it can certainly make a difference. Customer feedback inspired us to consider applying our ideas to real-world systems like XP Edu, as we need to think beyond classroom tasks.
Looking forward, I will continue to uphold this user-centered approach in my future design projects.
