Task 1 / App Design Self-Evaluation and Reflection
LECTURES
Week 1
In the first class, Mr. Razif gave us a rough outline of the module plan we needed to complete. He asked us to bring our work from Application Design I, the previous semester, to this module. To help us better understand the upcoming tasks, he introduced us to the DesignLens website.
Task to do
- Submit ePortfolio URL
- Identify design improvements/refinements of your App Design 1 project and write them in the ePortfolio.
- Join Whatsapp Group
Week 2
I personally found this week's lecture quite interesting. Mr. Razif asked us to redesign the boarding pass and design the order according to the importance of the information. Then we were divided into groups to design the boarding pass.
The front of this boarding pass was designed by me, and I referred to the design made by my senior schoolmate before me.
Most people read from top to bottom and left to right, so when designing, we need to consider the importance of information and place it accordingly.Figma link hereGroup Presentation
Week 3
Today, we learned how mobile apps function as interconnected systems, focusing on common mobile app layouts, navigation structures, user flows, and wireframe flows. We learned how these elements work together to create a smooth and intuitive user experience. Then our group chose the movie booking process to make wireflow.
Week 4
Consultation for task 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Task 1 / App Design Self-Evaluation and Reflection
Based on our Application Design I, improve/refine the design of the redesigned application project and write it in detail. We are required to perform a self-evaluation
and reflection based on their mobile application design 1
final project. This project is aimed to document the issues,
problems, difficulties and propose solutions to improve the
mobile app design. Mobile App design is an iterative process
and this task will expose us to the constant
improvements one can make to their app. We are
required to submit the documentation in Google Doc for
ease of commenting and feedback by the module
coordinator.

Application Design I Genting High-Fi prototype
IntroductionThis semester I revisited my previous Genting app redesign project — the high-fidelity prototype I completed at the end of last semester.
The main goal back then was to make the Genting app feel more modern, user-friendly, and consistent with its premium brand image.
For this reflection, I looked again at the final version I created — not the old one — and tried to see it from a fresh perspective. I wanted to find what still worked well, what could be improved, and what I’ve learned from designing and testing it.
