Week 2

In the tutorial class, each group chose the music we would use for Project 2: Kinetic Typography. Then Mr. Martin began to teach us step by step how to create the text animation in After Effect. We download music by Mr.Martin provided call Pink_sswimsars.mp3 then arrange the lyrics in a square.

INSTRUCTIONS

Exercise 1: Kinetic Typography

After a group vote, we decided to choose the song "Prom Queen" for this exercise. Then, after assigning everyone their part to create the lyric animation, we sketched our drafts on Canva. Once we ensured everyone's style was consistent, we created the Storyboard section on how to create text animations.

Then this table is about the lyrics that each person in our group is responsible for.

After deciding on our moodboard in class, we each started making sketches of the lyrics we were responsible for.

Then this is the Storyboard I created after I finished the sketch.

Once everyone has completed their part, we send it to one person, and all the edits are combined into one video.

We need to add animation to the assigned illustrations in the after-effects. I think it will be a lot of fun because the feeling of turning a static image into a moving animation is very different and full of life.
